Had to remove Adsterra Ads from SoPoCo.net recently. They were causing a problem, and holding out hope they would resolve it, was causing problems. Have you had any trouble accessing our website the past few months? Unsure what the actual issue is, but it’s something about the code Adsterra uses to serve ads. Ran into a similar issue on a different website, and after looking into it, Adsterra was maintaining that the issue had been fixed.
It hasn’t been fixed – Will Adsterra send our money?
Firstly I doubt that Adsterra will pay us the balance that is owed. The main concern however, is that people who wanted to read our articles, could not. Now once again, you can. If you’re an advertiser, please contact today to place your ads on our website.

Despite this, and several website users all reporting similar issues, Adsterra has continued to claim, this problem is resolved.
So why were we using Adsterra in the first place?
Frankly, Google has a monopoly on this industry. There are not many options website owners can use, to monetize their platforms. With the current climate in America, it’s unclear if this problem will ever be addressed or resolved. Tech companies seem to be growing in power, and are being allowed to monopolize.
For consumers, having a choice allows ‘the people’ to keep the companies in check. We’ve attempted to use several alternative advertising outlets, to help keep the industry honest. When consumers forget our own power, and they collectively put their money into the monopolies, the competition cannot afford to compete.
It’s up to us, to help balance things out. With that said, we may be forced to evaluate running ads by Google, if our platform isn’t too outspoken for their liking.
